I got fired from my job today.

Weirdly, i'm not that mad about it...I have no excuse for putting in poker volume now lol. So when I first started at CVS like 2yrs ago I guess I would take like 2 drinks a week from the coolers without paying. Haven't done it in a long time but have to pay back like $100 for it. During the interview, the guy said, "so what is the most expensive thing you've stolen?" hahaha even if I did take something i'm not gonna start spewing shit out. So I smirked at him and said listen, tell ME what I stole if you think I did. He got pissed, told me to get rid of my smirk and said, "ok, so you wanna call my bluff huh?" Made my day, and then I just gave him a good ol' Philip Hilm stare down until they gave up and I signed some paperwork for the drinks.

TIME TO GRIND

Class

School starts up again tomorrow so its gonna be tough to get any volume in until I can quit my job, hopefully by the end of June. I'm at 700 right now, at 1k I will be moving up to the 30s and I also will probably play the $50 4-mans with a partner.

Greatest Sporting Event Eveeeeer

So I hit the T to Boston with my pops with the plan on getting him wasted before the game...which the opposite ended up happening. On the train I get a text from my friends saying that they are next to the garden and we should meet up at a bar before they head back home. We end up at Hurricane O'reillys and while there I end up stealing a bunch of shit from the Corona girl because she kept ignoring me. Later on my dad tells me he's never had Henny before, I bought the rounds and then I thought he was gonna die haha...

We get to the game and check out how good our seats our (center ice) when I see there is a whole row of Canadians fans right in front of me. I do not like this. During the game It seems like my dad is coming back with more beer every 10 minutes and I am getting very drunk; and that's when the evil plan hits me. Big Z scores the tying goal and I jump out of my seat "accidentally" spilling my beer all over the habs fan in front of me. Everyone around me thinks it is hilarious, except him of course...before the spilling I also took one of my favorite pictures of the night:



Besides the drunkenness it was a great game with a crazy crowd and some good fights. The Bruins won 3-1 and on the way to the subway I tell a little kid to start a USA chant while I berate the Canadians. When I said to throw them in the tracks almost everyone there went nuts and tagged along with me. Even my dad got in on it.

Fuck the Yankees-Red Sox, this is the greatest rivalry of all time.

Update

It's been a busy week.

I ended up going 61-39 last week putting me up just a little over $300. I had to take out $200 of it to buy my school books though so i'm back at $600 for now...which I don't really mind since its like I got my books for free and i'll be able to sell them later. After that, I left for a few days for some military training and when I got back home I was pretty sick. I'm just getting over it today, but I will be heading to bean town to watch the bruins-habs game tonight! I tried to squeeze in some games before leaving but ended up going a disappointing 4-3 after running into AA twice.

Jobs Suck

I've been working way too many hours this week to get any volume in...right now i'm 20-12 in the 20s putting me up $128 after rake. I'm actually heading back there now after working 8am-4, taking a nap and now i'm in from 12-8am. LONG fucking day.

Resolution

I've never made a New Year's resolution before, but I couldn't think of a better one than to quit my job for poker. Right now, i'm a broke college student that works at CVS for $10/hr.

2009 is my year to play full time, and since i'm already used to getting by without much cash I won't need too much to finally quit. The big thing is paying off debt, after that I will just need some money saved up and a decent roll. I can get by with 300/week fine once everything is paid off, which sounds very reasonable to do. Hopefully this blog can help keep me focused on the big picture...

As of now i'm playing 10/20's heads up on stars, s/n Pro$pect.
Bank Roll at the moment is $500...let the grind begin.
